Cookie Policy
FITinAI uses limited browser storage for essential preferences and optional analytics.
Effective 15 June 2026
What we use
- Essential preference storage: remembers your theme, cookie choice and unsynchronised learning progress.
- FIA session storage: stores a randomly generated identifier so questions from the same browser session can be reviewed together. It does not contain your name and must not be used to submit identifying information.
- Authentication storage: keeps an authorised administrator signed in and supports account security.
- Google Analytics: after you choose “Accept analytics”, Google may set analytics cookies and receive device and usage information so we can understand visits and improve the site.
Storage duration
fitinai:themestores the light or dark theme until replaced or cleared.fitinai:analytics-consentstores “accepted” or “declined” until you change the choice or clear it.fitinai:progressstores unsynchronised module progress until it is synchronised after sign-in or cleared.fia_session_idstores a random FIA conversation identifier until cleared.- Authentication data remains according to the signed-in session and is removed or refreshed when you sign out or the session expires.
- Google Analytics commonly uses
_gaand_ga_*cookies for up to two years, although browser settings and Google controls may shorten this.
Your choice
Analytics does not load unless the parent, guardian or other adult user consents. Choosing “Essential only” does not affect core site features. Children must not make the cookie choice or accept analytics themselves. We do not knowingly use optional analytics to profile children or serve behavioural advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection and attempts to remove FITinAI analytics cookies from your browser.
Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent preferences, sign-in or learning progress from working correctly.
